The success of the movie pushed Deepika into the A-list and established herself as a diva in the film industry. After almost over a decade, reports of Cocktail 2 being in the making are doing the rounds on social media.
If reports are anything to go by, Shahid Kapoor has reportedly replaced Saif Ali Khan as the lead actor in Cocktail 2. According to a report in Peeping Moon, Pushpa 2 actress Rashmika Mandanna is all set to romance Shahid Kapoor for the first time and set the movie theatres on fire.
Rashmika and Shahid have been manifesting to work together for a long time now and seem to have finally found a project. They were supposed to reunite for Anees Bazmee’s comedy drama in 2023 but that did not happen.
Finally, Cocktail 2 will be their first film together. Rashmika who is a huge fan of the chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor is super excited for the upcoming project. On the other hand, Teen Patti actress Kriti Sanon will also be seen in a pivotal role in the film.
She has already worked with Shahid Kapoor in ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ and their chemistry was much loved. The movie penned by Luv Ranjan and produced by Dinesh Vijan will be a romantic triangle, loaded with humour and light-hearted moments.
Friendship will be the core of the movie. While there has been no official confirmation as yet from the makers and the star cast of the film, it will be interesting to see Rashmika and Kriti Sanon fighting it out for Shahid Kapoor.
