Sandalwood beauty Rashmika Mandanna turns a year older today. It is one big moment for her fans to rejoice and celebrate on social media and the entire web. The journey of Rashoo from an outsider to stardom has been full of ups and downs.

Rashmika’s debut and rise as a star
The beauty made her debut through the Kannada movie Kirik Party in 2016 which was one of the biggest hits of that year. She won several awards for her role in this movie. Post that Rashoo worked in two more Kannada movies - Chamak and Anjani Putra.
She first tasted stardom when her first Telugu movie Geetha Govindam with Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda became a big hit. Over the years she went on to work with some of the biggest Southern stars including Mahesh Babu (Sarileru Neekevvaru), Karthi (Sulthan), and Allu Arjun (Pushpa: The Rise).
Her latest movie made her a household name across India giving her a good platform in Bollywood as she debuted in the Hindi film industry with the OTT release Goodbye opposite Amitabh Bachchan.
She also starred with Sidharth Malhotra in Mission Majnu and next will be seen in another Bollywood film Animal with superstar Ranbir Kapoor. Her most awaited release however is the sequel of Pushpa 1- Pushpa: The Rule.
Initial heartbreak and linkup with Vijay Deverakonda
At the start of her career, Rashmika Mandanna fell in love with her co-star Rakshit Shetty and got engaged in 2017 in a private ceremony held in her hometown in Virajpeth. However, the two announced separation citing compatibility issues in September 2018. Her name since has been linked with Vijay Deverakonda, her Dear Comrade star with whom she has to date worked in two movies.
Their pair has been adored hugely by fans on social media with everyone hoping that the two tie the knot soon. The hopes escalated when the two were sighted enjoying holidays together a couple of times.
However, both Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have always maintained that they are good friends. The latest buzz is that Rashoo and Vijay have officially separated but yet again there is no word from the two stars on these rumours.
Rashmika and her controversies
The young actress has faced some controversies since her debut in the film industry 7 years ago. Recently, she was heavily trolled and slammed by the Kannada film industry when Rashmika said that she has not watched the Kannada big hit Kantara.
Rashmikia's commercial ad with Vicky Kaushal also drew a lot of ire for carrying out-of-context content to promote men’s underwear. She was also heavily criticized for calling KGF fame star Yash as Mr. Showoff during an interview.
