Apart from the violent fight sequences, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ made more headlines for the steamy scenes between Ranbir Kapoor and Triptii Dimri. The song ‘Pehle Bhi Main’ turned out to be a chartbuster although the intimate scenes between Ranbir and Triptii were condemned by many.
In several interviews, Triptii has shared insights into the filming of the scene and how director Vanga had transparently discussed the scene with her during the signing of the project. Even Ranbir ensured Dimri’s comfort and constantly checked in on her every five minutes. Both Ranbir and Vanga demonstrated a genuine concern for her comfort and emphasised the team’s commitment to creating a safe and respectful working environment.
After Triptii, now Ranbir himself opened up about the challenges he faced while shooting the intimate scenes and if his wife and actress Alia Bhatt was okay with it. In his recent interview, Ranbir revealed that he was apprehensive about shooting the scene.
However, it was his wife Alia Bhatt and her support that he decided to go ahead with it. While opening up about confiding in Alia about shooting various scenes in ‘Animal’, Ranbir said, “I used to discuss it with her. You know, she has helped me with so many scenes.”
He went on to add that it was Alia who helped him chalk out his scenes. She helped him reassure during moments of self-doubt and provided her with valuable perspective on the filming processes.
“I think she has really played that barometer and has been a very strong support as long as this film is concerned,” Ranbir shared.
Meanwhile, after rocking movie theatres, Animal has been winning big at the Filmfare Awards. The film has grabbed at least 19-20 nominations including Best Actor for Ranbir and several other categories. Apart from Ranbir and Triptii, the film had an ensemble cast of Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Suresh Oberoi and Shakti Kapoor among others.
