Actress Sai Pallavi, who is all set to make her pan-India debut with Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, recently hogged the headlines after an old video resurfaced on social media in which she made controversial remarks on the Indian Army. Once again, the actress has made another controversial statement. But this time, it is related to her profession.
Sai Pallavi seems to be on cloud nine after the humungous success of her recent release Amaran. The Tamil movie starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead is inching closer to Rs 200 crore, making it the first Tamil blockbuster film for Sai Pallavi. While the movie has emerged as a massive box office success, acknowledging the same, Sai Pallavi excluded her previous Tamil movies, Maari 2 and NGK, from the blockbuster category.
Her recent statement has led to disappointment among the fans as the actress didn't mention Dhanush and Suriya-starrer movies.
Netizens have lashed out at the actress on social media for ignoring Dhanush, Suriya and the movies she worked on with them.

However, despite the controversies and resentment among fans, the movie helmed by Rajkumar Periyasamy continues to shine.
Notably, Amaran pays tribute to Major Mukund Varadharajan, a decorated military officer. The Maari 2 actress portrays the role of the military officer's wife Indu Rebecca Varghese. With her stellar performance and character portrayal, she has been winning the hearts of moviegoers. Fans are in awe of the gripping narrative, emotional depth, and engaging action sequences.
Notably, a couple of days ago, Sai Pallavi's video from an old interview surfaced in which she was disrespectful towards the Indian Army.
She said, "People in Pakistan think our army is a terrorist group. But for us, it is them. So, the perspective changes. I don't understand violence."
After the clip surfaced on social media, it made netizens aggressive. Soon #BoycottSaiPallavi started trending on social media. For the unversed, Sai Pallavi also triggered an outrage with her statement referring to the Kashmiri Pandit genocide portrayed in The Kashmir Files (2022). She presented an example of a Muslim driver, carting a cow, being lynched by a mob chanting 'Jai Shri Ram'.
