The excitement for Nitesh Tiwari and Namit Malhotra's Ramayana has once again amplified after the motion poster was unveiled. On Saturday, the makers dropped the motion poster, an animated rendition, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Demon King Ravana.

The motion poster features animated interpretations of the lead characters Ranbir Kapoor and Yash. The tone of the huge clash is set by the grand musical score from Oscar-winning composers Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.

Poised to be a cinematic spectacle on a global scale, the visual effects of the cinematic adaptation of the Indian Epic are handled by Namit Malhotra's 8-time Oscar-winning studio DNEG. 

The caption for the motion poster read, "Rama vs. Ravana. Mortal vs. Immortal. Light vs. Darkness." (sic)

Well, the motion poster has once again reignited the enthusiasm among cinephiles. Fans are already hailing it as a box office smash.

Ramayana Makers Earned Rs 1000 Crore With First Glimpse!

Notably, the makers released the first glimpse of Ramayana last week, which became the talk of the town. Apart from the massive buzz for the movie, the first glimpse generated positive buzz for Namit Malhotra's studio, Prime Focus Studio. It is noteworthy to mention that this led to an upswing in their fortunes on the stock market.

Listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Prime Focus enjoyed a good week after its board approved the issue of 462.7 million equity shares on a preferential issue. This had seen the company's share price see a 30% jump from Rs 113.47 to Rs 149.69 between June 25 and July 1.

However, following the intensified buzz about the release of the first glimpse, after July 1, the shares of Prime Focus peaked at Rs 176 on July 3. This took the company's market cap from Rs 4638 crore on July 1 to a peak of Rs 5641 crore. This meant the makers of Ramayana saw a surge of Rs 1000 crore in their holdings in just two days.

Undoubtedly, fans are awaiting with bated breath for Ramayana, featuring Ranbir as Lord Ram, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, Yash and Demon King Ravana, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Sai Pallavi as Devi Sita. Furthermore, several popular actors have been roped in for supporting roles, which the makers have yet to disclose. While Ramayana: Part I will hit the theatres during Diwali 2026, Ramayana: Part II will release during Diwali 2027.

After wrapping the shooting for the first instalment, the team is currently busy with post-production and editing. Reportedly, the team will kick off shooting for the second instalment in August.
