Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari is leaving no stone unturned to pull up the biggest casting coup for his magnum opus Ramayana. Fans are waiting with high excitement to witness Ranbir Kapoor, Sunny Deol, Yash and Sai Pallavi as Lord Ram, Lord Hanuman, Demon King Ravana and Devi Sita, respectively in the cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic. Well, the latest report will elevate the excitement among all to the next level. According to the latest report, Tiwari is in talks with actor Mohit Raina to portray Mahadev 'Lord Shiva' in the magnum opus.

Mohit Raina As Mahadev in Ramayana!
Actor Mohit Raina, best known for essaying Lord Shiva in popular TV serial Mahadev for several years, is in talks with the makers of Ramayana to reprise Lord Shiva for Tiwari's upcoming magnum opus.
According to a report by India Forums, Tiwari's negotiation with Raina is in advanced stages.
However, there are no official claims backing the claims.

It is pertinent to mention here that actor Mohit Raina portrayed Lord Shiva in the TV series 'Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev' from 2011-2014 which remains one of his most iconic performances in the history of the Indian television industry. Raina became a household name and is loved for his powerful portrayal of Mahadev. His calm yet powerful presence, dignified demeanour, and strong screen presence brought depth and authenticity to the role of Mahadev.
Well, fans need to wait with their fingers crossed for an official announcement backing the report.

Undoubtedly, Ramayana is one of the most anticipated films for its scale and storytelling. Earlier, the makers announced that Ramayana would be a duology and even notified the release dates of both the parts. While the makers are yet to reveal details about the cast, confirmations by Ranbir Kapoor, Sunny Deol, Yash and others have heightened the enthusiasm among moviegoers.

A few weeks ago, reports were abuzz that the makers have locked the title announcement video along with the first glimpses of the lead actors. However, there have been no further updates on it.
