Sunny Deol’s latest release Gadar 2 emerged as one of the most successful movies of recent times. ‘Gadar 2: The Katha Continues’ has reportedly grossed over Rs 450 crore at the domestic box office and is minting high even in the third week of its release.
Now, the makers of Gadar 2 have come up with an alluring marketing strategy. To celebrate Raksha Bandhan 2023, the makers have decided to give a special gift to all fans. As people observe Raksha Bandhan to celebrate the sacred bond of brothers and sisters on August 30 this year, the makers have decided to make this festival more special.
If the reports are anything to go by, moviegoers purchasing two tickets will get two more tickets for free. This ‘Buy 2, Get 2’ offer is valid from August 29 to September 3.
As it seems, the makers came up with this marketing strategy as the business probably slowed down in the third week. With this offer, Gadar 2 might script new records in its third week.
Written by Shaktimaan Talwar and directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 is a sequel to 2001’s Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Apart from Sunny Deol, the movie stars Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in the lead. If the reports are to be believed, Gadar 2 scripted history by becoming the fastest movie to surpass the gross collection of Baahubali 2, KGF Chapter 2 and Pathaan.
