Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan seems to be in no mood to rest after turning 60. While he gears up for Sitaare Zameen Par's release, according to earlier reports, he is zeroing in on different projects including a superhero flick with Lokesh Kanagaraj, Dadasaheb Phalke biopic with Rajkumar Hirani, Kishore Kumar biopic with Anurag Basu, Ujjwal Nikam biopic with Dinesh Vijan, PK 2, Ghajini 2, Andaz Apna Apna 2, Sarfarosh 2 and, of course, the Mahabharat. While a few of the projects have been confirmed by the actor himself, a recent report suggests that Rajkummar Rao has 'replaced' Aamir Khan in a 'biopic'.

Rajkummar Rao Replaces Aamir Khan in Ujjwal Nikam 'Biopic'!

Earlier, reports were abuzz that Aamir Khan would take on the role of public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, who played a significant role in the trial of Ajmal Kasab, who was the lone terrorist captured alive in the devastating 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

However, the latest report by NDTV suggests that Rajkummar Rao has been cast to play Nikam as Khan opted out of the film due to his ongoing commitments. A close source to the development told the news portal that Rao has been roped in after Khan's exit.

Not a Biopic, Film To Be On...

Moreover, the report also suggests that Maddock Films has clarified that it won't follow the traditional biopic format. Notably, the film will be inspired by real events and feature a real-life figure at its centre. Rather than covering Nikam's entire life or legal career, the film will focus on a specific chapter, which will be the intense courtroom drama and legal fight for justice after the 2008 attacks.

The upcoming project will spotlight his pivotal role in the high-profile trial following the 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks, rather than chronicling his entire life or career.
