The much-awaited trailer of Thalaivar Rajinikanth's Coolie was unleashed at a grand event in Chennai on Saturday. The grand trailer launch turned into a star-studded spectacle, with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan making a surprise appearance and sharing a heartwarming moment with the legendary Rajinikanth.

Interestingly, Rajini brought more than just his trademark charisma at the trailer launch. He brought heartfelt memories from a chapter of his life that few have heard about. He shared a deeply personal story from his early days working as a coolie.
When Superstar Rajini Worked As A Coolie
Fans were finally treated to the much-awaited high-octane trailer of Coolie, and Chennai witnessed a thunderous celebration. While fans erupted with excitement over the action-packed visuals, the superstar paused and recalled the time he was reduced to tears after being mocked.
The Jailer actor recalled, “I got yelled at many times when I was a coolie. One day, a man asked me to carry luggage into his tempo and gave me 2 rupees for it. His voice sounded familiar to me, and I soon realised he was my college mate whom I used to mock.”
"At that moment, he ridiculed me and said, ‘How arrogant you were in those days,’ mocking my job. That was the first time I broke down crying in my life," he added.
The emotional moment struck a chord with the audience.
Rajinikanth went on to praise the film’s director, saying, “The real hero of Coolie is none other than director Lokesh Kanagaraj. One of the most successful commercial directors has teamed up with me. Bringing together an amazing star cast, he has created a storm.”
