What Led to Deepika Padukone's Removal From Spirit?
Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit, starring Prabhas in the lead, is one of the much-awaited flicks. The reports of Deepika Padukone coming on board for Spirit enthralled fans. However, Deepika walked out of the project due to alleged disagreements with the director over contract terms.
According to sources, the Jawan actress made several demands, including a Rs 20 crore fee, a share in the film's profits, and an 8-hour workday (roughly translating to 6 hours of actual shoot time). Moreover, the actress was reluctant to speak Telugu dialogues. Such conditions reportedly led to mounting tensions between the actress and the filmmaker.
Reportedly, an insider also revealed that the actress' agency also pushed for additional compensation if the shoot extended beyond 100 days.
