Indian cricket legend MS Dhoni has already stepped into filmmaking as a producer along with his wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni. 'Let’s Get Married' will be their first project in the South Film Industry which will be produced under their banner Dhoni Productions. The Tamil movie is scheduled for theatrical release on July 28, 2023, and it features Harish Kalyan, Ivana, Nadiya, and Yogi Babu in the lead.
Well, Mr and Mrs Dhoni are all set for the launch of their first project and recently, they held a press conference in Hyderabad as the release date is inching closer. While the maker-duo talked about their project, they were asked at the conference if they have plans to work with South superstars like Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Pawan Kalyan, and Ram Charan.
Responding to the questions, Sakshi said that she doesn’t have that kind of budget or money to work with such top stars.
“Arey, they have big budgets, big salaries and big packets I will have to pay them. Right now, I’m just starting off, this is my first. Let me make my ground, let me do my foundation work.”
Well, during the conference, Sakshi also revealed that she is a great admirer of Tollywood actor Allu Arjun.
"You know I've seen all Allu Arjun movies. All of it," said Sakshi.
Amid the cheering of the crowd, the debutant producer said, "But, I don't think that there was Netflix or Hotstar. It was all on YouTube, on Goldmine Productions. They used to put all the Telugu movies in Hindi. So growing up, I watched all Allu Arjun movies, and I'm a huge huge fan."
Allu Arjun hasn’t worked in any Bollywood movie and his first pan-India flick was Pushpa: The Rise, which released only in December 2021. However, his craze exists in North regions even before Pushpa: Undoubtedly, Allu Arjun has won the hearts of movie lovers across the nation with his impeccable performances in several movies and different characters.
Soon after Sakshi’s video from the conference went viral on social media, speculations started that Allu Arjun could be the best choice for Mr. and Mrs. Dhoni for their next venture. Well, the maker-duo can only clarify and decide after analysing the result of their maiden project- Let’s Get Married, helmed by Ramesh Thamilmani.
