Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU) has remained the talk of the town following the mammoth success of HanuMan, starring Teja Sajja. While all eyes are on the updates about the superhero franchise, after announcing Mahakali, the first woman superhero under the franchise, Tollywood's rising filmmaker Prasanth Varma stunned everyone by revealing Kantara fame Rishab Shetty as Lord Hanuman in the much-awaited flick Jai Hanuman. Now, the recent buzz in the industry suggests that Rebel Star Prabhas is likely to enter PVCU.
Currently, the Rebel Star is gearing up for his next horror-comedy The Raja Saab. While the movie, also starring Sanjay Dutt, is scheduled for next year, Prabhas has multiple other projects including Salaar: Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam, Spirit and Fauji. However, the latest report suggests that Darling is likely to join hands with Prasanth Varma.
Fans are well aware that after the mammoth success of HanuMan, Varma is expanding his superhero franchise, with the latest being Mahakali, Jai Hanuman and a yet-to-be-titled flick with Mokshagna Teja.
According to a report by Gulte, the Kalki 2898 AD star is likely to join PVCU and an official announcement of the same will be made soon.
However, an official confirmation is awaited from the actor's side.
Meanwhile, fans have started speculating about the Mirchi actor's character. While some suggest that Prabhas will portray Lord Ram's role in Jai Hanuman, alongside Rishab Shetty as Lord Hanuman, others opine that Prabhas will don the superhero Cape.
Prabhas as Lord Ram
Notably, Prabhas essayed the role of Lord Ram (Raghav) in Om Raut's Adipurush. While the flick bombed at the box office, the audience brutally criticised the entire team for distorting the narrative of the Indian Epic Ramayana. Especially, the portrayal of the characters of Demon King Ravana and Lord Hanuman, coupled with contentious dialogues irked the viewers and left them disappointed. However, Prabhas' performance as Raghava received mixed reviews. While some opined his performance was fantastic and gave a goose-bump-inducing performance, a few others said he was wooden.
Considering this fact, the audience may accept Prabhas once again as Lord Ram and with Varma, the character portrayal would be much more convincing and stellar than Adipurush.
Rebel Star as Superhero
On the other hand, fans have witnessed Prabhas in Kalki: 2898 AD as Bhairava and Karna. The other section of fans speculate that he might have a similar role in PVCU while donning the superhero cape.
Well, as of now, everything is behind the curtains. Fans need to wait for an official announcement if they will get to see Darling Prabhas once again as Lord Ram or in a superhero cape.
