Activists on Wednesday vandalised and tore up posters of superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone- starrer Pathaan ahead of the promotion of a movie at a mall in Ahmedabad in Gujarat.

In the video, that is now going viral, the activists can be heard shouting slogans as they tear apart the posters of the upcoming movie that is slated for January 25 release.

The activists also threatened to stop the screening of the movie because of the song ‘Besharam Rang’ where Deepika Padukone is seen wearing a saffron ‘bikini’.

The highly-anticipated movie has been in the middle of multiple controversies due to the dress of Deepika in the Besharam Rang song.

The video has been shared by ANI and self-proclaimed critic Kamaal R Khan. Sharing the video, KRK wrote, “Ahmadabad main #Pathaan Ke Saath Ye Ho Raha Hai. Aur Abhi Toh Release Bahut Door Hai.”

Many social media users demanded the reshoot of the song Besharam Rang in a good manner and demanded a ban on the movie.

However, fans of SRK and Deepika claimed that SRK would not lose anything and it was the producers and distributors who would have to bear the loss.
