Fans have been eagerly waiting for Panchayat Season 4 . The web series right from its first season has left the OTT viewers hooked with its storyline, humour, and political angle which is quite practical and hilarious at the same time. Surprisingly, Panchayat Season 4 has failed to live up to the quality that its earlier seasons delivered.
And it is bound to happen when you stretch a story or a plot too much even if it has lost all its capacity to entertain the audience.
Overcooked plot of Panchayat Season 4 disappoints
The new season of Panchayat starts with the poll scenario where the bottle gourd is the symbol for elections for Manju Devi aka Neena Gupta, and the pressure cooker is a symbol of Kranti Devi aka Sunita Rajwar. Until now the novelty of politics in rural life had kept the fans enchanted and the earlier seasons even managed to develop it in a proper way so as to appeal to the audience.
But it failed to do so in Panchayat Season 4 as the plot looks overcooked with the director trying everything to ensure that the season does not go flat. This in turn has made the story too predictable as a result of which the punches made to make people laugh fail to land properly.
Kranti Devi and Manju Devi are pitted against each other during the elections in Phulera. One change and highlight that is a part of this season is the shift in the activities of the people in Phulera village as the arguments and animosity between the people of the two parties develop with the elections coming closer.
Earlier the roles and characters of leading actors like Sachivji, Pradhanji, and Manju Devi were quite well developed giving ample scope for creating an interesting story and situation. But now with new characters being added, it is more of a chaos than entertainment which is why Panchayat Season 4 has left many fans disappointed.
