Legendary singer coming on board as actor
Legendary playback singer Kishore Kumar played the role of Vidyapati in Padosan. Though he has acted in several movies earlier, in the lead, initially Kishore Da was not ready to play the role. It was Mehmood who convinced him to play the role after following him for around a month and spending a night in front of his house.
Kishore Da choreographed 'Meri Pyaari Bindoo'
'Meri Pyaari Bindoo' remains one of the most loved songs from Padosan. However, did you know that Kishore Da choreographed the romantic-humorous song? As per reports, the regular choreographer wasn't available for the song. Thus, Kishore Da volunteered to choreograph the sequence. He instructed the cast to follow his silly actions based on the lyrics. Well, the rest is history. The song sequence is still considered as one of the most funniest music videos.
Mehmood and Sunil Dutt's concern
