Actress Kajol is gearing up for the release of her upcoming mythological horror film Maa. The trailer has been well-received by the audience and Kajol received praised for her intense portrayal of a fierce mother. Fans certainly can't wait to explore more about the intriguing plot. Recently, Kajol, who is on a promotion spree for her film, made an interesting revelation that her daughter Nysa Devgan and son Yug Devgan don't like watching her movies. Well, the actress shared a heartfelt reason for the same.

Why Nysa and Yug Don't Like Watching Kajol's Movies?

During a recent interview on Filmygyan, Kajol was asked if her kids gave her pointers for her work.

To this, the My Name Is Khan actress said, "Mere bache toh humesha mujhe bolte hain ki 'Mumma you have done a good job'. But unko meri picturein pasand nahi aati hai, kyunki mujhe rona dhona padta hai usmein. Unko pasand nahi hai ki apni maa ko matlab screen pe rote hue dekhte hain. Toh unko achha nahi lagta hai."

She added, "Matlab Nysa aur Yug dono jo hain, bohot hi sehmay sehmay ho jaate hain jab unko lagta hai, you know, main ro rahi hun ya jo bhi hai. Maine bohot bola hai ki picture hai, picture hai, fake hai, fake hai! Lekin nahi sunte hain meri baat."

Well, fans can't agree more, as no child would like to see their mother crying or facing any problems.

About Maa

Kajol's mythological horror Maa, produced by Ajay Devgn, is set in the Shaitaan's universe. Reportedly, the compelling story centres around a mother's fight to protect her daughter from a dynamic curse and draws inspiration from Bengali folklore. While the movie has teased connections to the eerie world of Shaitaan, fans expected Ajay and R Madhavan's special appearance in the movie. However, Kajol's statement during an interview with Pinkvilla left fans disappointed as she clarified that there is no such scope in the movie.

Notably, the intense mythological horror drama is set to hit theatres on June 27 and will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali.
