Rebel star Prabhas has once again proved that he is the original ‘Darling’ of the box office with Kalki 2898 AD. Even after three weeks of its release, the futuristic sci-fi mythological drama is doing wonders breaking several box office records.

After entering the Rs 1000 crore club, the Nag Ashwin directorial is all set to break the Baahubali 2 record. After dominating the domestic market, Kalki performs exceptionally well in North America.

The Prabhas-starrer has already surpassed superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ and has become the second-highest-grossing Indian film there.

Now, with its potential competitor Indian 2 taking at the box office and no good films for release, the path is once again clear for Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s Kalki to continue to have a successful run. If the same momentum continues, Kalki will easily surpass the Rs 1,050 crore milestone by this week's end and beat the Baahubali 2 collection in North America.

With this, Prabhas is the only star to have two Rs 1000 crore movies in his kitty along with superstar Shah Rukh Khan who has Pathaan and Jawan.

If this success streak continues, no one can stop Prabhas from easily entering the Rs 1500 crore club with Salaar 2, Kalki 2, and Spirit.

Coming back to Kalki, the Nag Ashwin dream project also stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. Mahabharata inspires the dystopian flick with its main lead playing either reincarnations of mythological characters or their varied forms.
