Ever since the news about Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s separation came out, there have been speculations that one of the reasons why the celeb couple decided to split was because Naga was against his wife doing bold roles in movies. Rather, it was Sam’s role as Raji in the Family Man Season 2 that caused most of the trouble in their married life. But until now, all these were speculations and there was nothing to support them.
However, a recent comment by the actor has in a way confirmed that it was indeed the case and that Naga Chaitanya was against his then-wife doing bold and intimate scenes in movies. Recently during an interview, the Tollywood star said that he is ready to do all kinds of roles but will not do roles that can affect his family. He further added that he will never do a role that will embarrass his family.
Now, fans believe that this is Naga’s way of taking a dig at his ex-wife who surprisingly has been on a movie-signing spree after her divorce. Not only did Sam sign new movies post-separation but she also agreed to do an item song for the first time in her career for Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa: The Rise.
The song has already received a very good response. While in the last few weeks Samantha has spoken about her separation and the problems she faced while overcoming the pain caused by it, Naga has been quite silent about it. Even now he has not talked directly about Sam or their divorce but indirectly hinted that for an Akkineni, the family’s reputation is a priority that should not be compromised.
On the other hand, it is believed that Samantha was very much keen on continuing her marriage with Naga Chaitanya and at one point in time even was preparing for motherhood. But she was not ready to compromise on her creative freedom.
