There is no doubt that Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Mirzapur’ is the Baahubali, KGF and Pushpa of OTT platforms. While the movies are all equally love blockbusters, Mirzapur also has its own fan base.
While audiences received the first three parts well, fans are eagerly waiting for what’s in store for the fourth part, ‘Mirzapur: The Film’, which is currently in works. In a good news for all the Divyenndu fans, Munna Bhaiya is all set to return in ‘The Film’.
This was revealed by the main lead Ali Fazal when asked if Munna Bhaiya and Compunder would come back since they are killed in the series. Speaking to fans, Fazal said, “The film will have not just me, but also Divyenndu, Pankaj Tripathy and Abhishek Banerjee.”
He further added, “It is like going back to the start and telling the story. So, they are all there. Once you see me cut my hair, and get beefed up physically, you know I am back on sets working on Mirzapur.”
Similarly, Shweta Tripathy also revealed some interesting updates about the highly anticipated series and confirmed that the Mirzapur: The Film is in pre-production and will explore a storyline set in the earlier timeline of the series, ensuring the return of fan-favourite Munna Bhaiya and Sweety Gupta (played by Shriya Pilgaonkar).
“Because Munna is a main part, it has to connect to season one. We can’t bring a character back to life after they’ve died in the last season. It’s based in a time when Munna is still alive, and I think Sweety is also still alive,” Shweta said during an interview.
“One thing I know is that it’s going to be power-packed and have the swag,” she added.
