People are choosing to traverse the path from where it’s impossible to come back. The wave seems to have hit the young masses in the country more than anyone else. While the trend itself is terrifying, there are scores of reasons behind the uptick in such cases like relationship issues, financial crisis being some of the major points.
And not just common people, even celebrities have chosen this path of quitting life. But, again many celebrities have opened up about combating the same. But, they successfully battled suicidal thoughts and refused to give up on life.
Today, let’s take a look at some famous celebrities, who battled anxiety and depression and nearly lose themselves forever.
Deepika Padukone: Today, the Bajirao Mastani actor is at the top of her game and one of the most sought after actress. She is happily married and one of the highest paid actresses. But, there was a time when the actress battled depression.
However, the Padmavaat actress refused to give up on life and battled depression successfully. Now, she is in a happy space with husband Ranveer Singh.
Hrithik Roshan: The Krrish actor is considered one of the most handsome celebs in Indian film industry. With back to back hit movies, the 'Greek God' had once opened up on how he had experienced depression. He requested his fans to take depression as a normal thing and seek help.
Mrunal Thakur: The Sita Ramam actress, during an interview, had opened up on how she wanted to jump off a moving train during her teenage. She said she had a lot of responsibilities and feared that she would be married off at 23 and have kids. There was also a time when she felt that she was good for nothing. She used to travel by local trains. But, she came out successfully and has now carved a niche for herself in the film industry.
Ilean D'Cruz: The Goan beauty had also revealed about her suicidal thoughts in the past. It was due to a very sensitive topic that she had these thoughts in her mind. There was a time where she hit a really low point in her life.
Mithun Chakraborty: The 'Disco Dancer' also had his share of struggle with depression. The actor revealed that there were times when he thought of committing suicide. In an interview, Mithun said that he thought that he would not be able to achieve his goals. Mithun even went back to Kolkata as there was no other option.
Urfi Javed: The Bigg Boss OTT fame once revealed that she thought of ending her life when she could not achieve what she thought she deserved. She said that failed career, relationships, no money made her feel like a loser. The only reasonI’m alive today (trust me there have been so many incidents in my life which nearly killed me) is because I never stopped. I kept walking and I’m still walking, she added.
