Malaika Arora’s father dies by suicide by jumping off terrace

In a shocking turn of events, the father of well-known actress-model Malaika Arora has reportedly died by suicide by jumping off a terrace in Maharashtra. The incident has spread shockwaves in the film industry.

While the exact reason for his tragic step is yet to be known, the Mumbai police team is present at the spot.

Popular news agency ANI reported that the actress’ father Anil Arora jumped off a terrace and died by suicide.

“Father of actress-model Malaika Arora died by suicide by jumping off a terrace. Police team is present at the spot,” ANI quoted Mumbai Police.

According to sources, Anil divorced Malaika’s mother when the latter was 11 years old. Later, Malaika with her little sister Amrita Arora, also a Bollywood actress, moved to Chembur with her mother.

 Her mother, Joyce Polycarp, is a Malayali Christian, and her father, Anil Arora, was a Punjabi Hindu from the Indian border town of Fazilka who worked in the Indian Merchant Navy.
