Tollywood Prince Mahesh Babu is currently in the picturesque town of Odisha’s Koraput, shooting for the globe-trotting adventure film ‘SSMB29’. Directed by ace director SS Rajamouli, the much-awaited film is the first collaboration of the two Tollywood biggies.
While immersed in the shooting of the big-budget (Rs 1,000 crore) jungle adventure film, Mahesh Babu, a well-known cricket enthusiast, took a brief break from his hectic shooting schedule to catch the nail-biting final of the 2025 IIC Champions Trophy.
Mahesh Babu’s Congratulatory Message for Team India
Despite being engrossed in his work for an upcoming film, the superstar made sure to follow India’s exhilarating victory over New Zealand in the final, sending his heartfelt congratulations to the Indian cricket team.
As India clinched the Champions Trophy title with a commanding performance, Mahesh Babu took to social media to celebrate the victory. Taking to his Instagram handle, Mahesh Babu joined nationwide celebrations and shared, “Overwhelmed with pride! Huge congrats to Team India for clinching the Champions Trophy…true champs! TeamIndia.”
SSMB29 Shoot Underway In Odisha
The ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ actor is scheduled to be in Koraput until the Odisha schedule is wrapped up. Global actress Priyanka Chopra is expected to join the unit soon to shoot a few crucial scenes of the movie.
Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran, who will be seen in a pivotal role in the film, has also joined Mahesh Babu in Koraput. Meanwhile, repeated incidents of leaks from the movie set have hampered the shooting of the film, resulting in the deployment of tight security in the area.
