The cinematic adaptation of the Indian Epic Mahabharat is Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's dream project. The Sitaare Zameen Par actor has multiple times revealed the same and expressed his enthusiasm. Well, recently Khan confirmed that he is set to begin work on his dream project soon. Moreover, he made a big revelation about the cast.
Aamir To Commence Work on Mahabharat Soon
During a recent interview, Aamir Khan confirmed that he will finally begin work on Mahabharat from next month.
During the interview with Screen, Khan confirmed that he will start working on it in the month of August. Further, he added that it will be a series of movies and made back-to-back, as the Mahabharat can't be told in one film.
Furthermore, he added, "And, you know, Mahabharat is very dangerous. It's again a story which is in my blood. No one can do anything about it. I need to tell it. So, I'm starting work on it."
Aamir on Mahabharat Casting
When asked about the casting in Mahabharat, Khan replied, "I don't plan to take any known faces in the film. For me, characters are the stars. I want unknown faces. There will be entirely new cast for it, is what I'm thinking."
What Aamir Said Earlier
It is worth noting that earlier talking about the Mahabharat, Aamir Khan expressed his interest in essaying Lord Krishna's role as it inspires him.
"The character of Krishna inspires me, that's the character I truly love," he said.
However, he also added that as the project is huge, he didn't want to reveal anything major related to the Mahabharat.
