Reports suggest that the man behind the Lokesh Cinematic Universe is ready to step out from behind the camera and face it as an actor.

Lokesh Kanagaraj, celebrated for redefining Tamil cinema with blockbusters like Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo, has so far stayed away from acting. But industry buzz indicates that his admiration for Arun Matheswaran’s gritty storytelling has now motivated him to take on the challenge of leading a film as an actor.
If media reports are to be believed, Lokesh will mark his acting debut in a film helmed by Arun Matheswaran, best known for Rocky and Captain Miller.

The film is reportedly based on a script penned by Arun years ago, tentatively titled Devdas. Interestingly, the story was first narrated to Dhanush during the making of Captain Miller. At one point, there was even speculation about an Ilaiyaraaja biopic with the actor. However, scheduling conflicts pushed the project aside, leaving the script waiting for the right time and collaborator.
