Filmmaker Sandeep Singh, currently engrossed in promoting his upcoming OTT film ‘Safed’ slated to release on ZEE5, has unequivocally stated that he would never create a film depicting the life of the late Sushant Singh Rajput, who tragically passed away in 2020.
Despite being offered substantial sums of money to produce such a film, Singh remains resolute in his decision.
In an interview with the Times Of India, Singh articulated his stance and expressed, "Not at all. I think people should let him rest in peace. I will never make a film about his life. People have offered me a lot of money for the same. They don’t realise what his family, friends, and relatives must have gone through."
Singh also shared his observation that he did not witness Sushant's fans during the actor's funeral. He asserted that SSRians were notably absent from the actor's residence and hospital, emphasizing his solitude during those difficult moments. Singh revealed feeling targeted by individuals seeking social media popularity and lamented the absence of support from Sushant's family.
Notably, Sushant Singh Rajput, renowned for his impactful performances in television and Bollywood, made an enduring impact on the industry through projects such as ‘Pavitra Rishta,’ ‘Kai Po Che!,’ ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story,’ and ‘Chhichhore,’ among others.
His sudden departure in 2020 not only triggered widespread sorrow, but also initiated important conversations about mental health within the entertainment community.
