#BoycottLaalSinghChaddha has been trending on social media these days. The Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer is scheduled to release on August 11, but social media users have called for boycott of the movie.
Laal Singh Chaddha, a remake of Tom Hank's Forrest Gump, also stars South actor Naga Chaitanya who is now on target of social media users. Old statements of Mr Perfectionist and Bebo are being tagged along with their statement, “If you don't like don't watch it,” and brutally trolled.
While social media users are lashing out at Aamir and have called for the boycott of his upcoming flick, Chay has stepped forward and taken a stand for the Hindi movie, which will mark his debut in Bollywood.
During an interview, Chay talked about the hate and criticism the movie has been receiving since the announcement. “I am not the best judge of that. To be honest, I am not too familiar with the language," India.com quoted the Majili actor as saying.
Further, Chay went on to add, "But, all the doubts that have been thrown at the film on the basis of the content that they have read so far will be erased once they watch the film, once you get immersed in the film and get immersed with Laal.”
Speaking about his debut Hindi movie, Chay said, “You are going to go through a lovely film and all these comparisons are going to go away. Also, it’s the same for every film. Before you see the final product, there are a number of opinions, doubts and questions which are fine and it only creates a certain interest in that film. So, it’s all a part of the film. Once you watch the film, all this will go. You will come out smiling and with tears,” Chay added.
Chay seems to be quite excited about his debut in Bollywood. Earlier, he took to Twitter and shared a video describing his adorable and heartfelt journey as Bala. His caption read: “The journey of Balaraju .. will always stay super special to me! So so thankful to the team of #LaalSinghChaddha for taking me through it. A Sneak Peek into Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump as a young boy has an IQ of 75 and has fitted leg braces to correct his curved spine. He resides with his single mother, who encourages him to defy all odds and go beyond his disabilities. On his first day of school, he happens to meet a young girl named Jenny Curran and gradually the duo become best friends.
Jenny insists Forrest to run after he got bullied by a group of children. While running he breaks off his braces and emerges as a fast runner. With his skills in running, he makes his way into a football team. Later, he joins the US Army after his graduation. However, he moves far away from Jenny.
He also gets into Shrimping business as promised to a friend, Bubba, in the Army, even after the latter's death. Forrest becomes a millionaire and as promised, shares half of his earnings with Bubba's family. However, his mother suffering from a terminal illness left him all alone.
Eventually, he meets Jenny again and starts living together, but Jenny once again ditches him to live life on her own terms. Heartbroken Forrest runs "for no particular reason" and spends the next three years in a relentless cross-country marathon to achieve another feat. However, he called off his run after he realised of being tired.
Later, after years, Jenny calls on Forrest to meet where he discovers he has a son also named Forrest. The duo gets married. But, as a shocker, Jenny also died a year later. Forrest starts living with his son with new terms and hopes.

How is Laal Singh Chaddha different from Forrest Gump?
Writer Atul Kulkarni tagged 'Laal Singh Chaddha' as a very ‘desi’ film. As said by the writer, apart from the soul of the film, everything else has been adapted. The story has been developed keeping Indian sensibilities in mind.
So, Aamir, Kareena and Chay are all set to bring the remake of Forrest Gump in an Indian style. As it seems, the makers must have altered many things in the story considering not to hurt the Indian sentiments.
Well, the truth can be explored after the release of the movie.
