Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos recently revealed he has watched the first two episodes of the show, and he’s impressed. Speaking on Nikhil Kamath’s WTF podcast, Sarandos said, “It’s very fun. It’s very funny. Aryan is a very good director.” He added that the show offers a fascinating peek into Bollywood, a world many audiences know little about.
A Cheeky Take on Bollywood’s Backstage Drama
Billed as a dark comedy and insider satire, The Ba**ds of Bollywood dives into the chaotic, comical, and sometimes brutal behind-the-scenes realities of the Hindi film industry. It stars Lakshya and Sahher Bamba, with reports suggesting that Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Bobby Deol, and Mona Singh are set to appear in cameos.
SRK Almost Got Aryan a Netflix Job
At the Next on Netflix launch event in Mumbai, Shah Rukh Khan candidly recalled how Aryan nearly began his career assisting someone at Netflix until the pandemic changed everything. “Covid happened, so he came back to India and started writing,” SRK said, visibly proud of his son’s creative journey.
