Kannada Rocking Star Yash, dubbed as the 'Box Office Monster', has yet taken another major step that has earned him more respect and the love of fans and admirers. Recently, KGF's Rocky Bhai has denied endorsing an advertisement of a pan masala brand.
Exceed Agency, the agency managing the endorsement deals for Yash has confirmed that the actor refused a multi-crore endorsement deal for a pan masala and cardamom brand.
During a press meet, Arjun Banerjee, the head of the agency's talent management said, "I remember when we became a part of the team of Yash and Prashanth, we created an informal group for communication and it was named 'Storm is coming'. That was the belief that he instilled in us at a time when no one knew when the filming of KGF 2 will complete and release to become a monstrous hit."
Further shedding light on the cancellation of the endorsement deal, Banerjee said, "We declined a double-digit multi-crore offer from a pan masala brand. We are going to be extremely mindful of who we associate with. Given his pan-India appeal, we want to use this opportunity to give the right message to his fans and followers."
The announcement comes a few days after Bollywood's action star Akshay Kumar tendered an apology to his fans after he got trolled for featuring in a promotional advertisement of Vimal's cardamom product, which also sells tobacco products, along with Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan.
Aki announced his disassociation with the brand after he faced outrage on social media. The Khiladi star also promised his fans that he will be extremely mindful in making future choices. Further, he also shared that he would use the endorsement fee for a worthy cause. Earlier, Vimal's promotional ad featured Ajay and later on, Khan joined the club.
Actors and public figures are looked upon as an inspiration by many and have a huge impact on the lives of their followers. Yash's move is certainly inspiring for youths across the country who consider him their icon.
