Speculations are rife that KGF fame and Kannada superstar Yash is charging a whopping Rs 150 crore for Nitesh Tiwari’s mythological drama Ramayana. Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and the gorgeous Sai Pallavi as ‘Sita Mata’, the high-budget film will see Yash as ‘Raavan’.
However, latest reports suggest that Yash has denied to take home Rs 150 crore and instead he is tying up with the project as a producer. Earlier, there were reports that a producer had backed out of the project. Now, a Zoom TV report suggests Yash has stepped in as the co-producer of the film.
“Yash desisted the offer to play Raavan for a long time. He agreed finally as a producer. Rather than accept inga fee, he agreed to come on board as a producer,” a Zoom TV source told.
Meanwhile, Yash is busy with the shooting of his upcoming gangster movie ‘Toxic’. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor has already started his preparation to get his physique right to play ‘Lord Ram’. A day back, a video of Ranbir working out had gone viral on social media.
Apart from Yash, Ranbir is also reportedly charging a whopping Rs 75 crore for the project, reported a BollywoodLife report. The actor recently gifted himself a luxurious Bentley Continental swanky car worth Rs 8 crore.
On the other hand, Sai Pallavi is reportedly being paid a whopping Rs 6 crore for the portrayal of Goddess Sita. Although her fee is very less as compared to Yash and Ranbir, earlier she was receiving Rs 2.5 to 3 crore only.
However, Ranbir, Yash and Sai are yet to confirm the reports.
