The countdown has begun for KGF Chapter 2 and fans are waiting for the historic day with high excitement as the days are inching closer. KGF 2, scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on April 14, has once again set a milestone after the makers dropped the first song titled 'Toofan' from the movie.
Toofan, released on March 21, is the first lyrical video song from KGF Chapter 2. The video song shows Rocking Star Yash aka Rocky Bhai building his empire in Narachi after giving freedom to the workers who were in the captivity of Garuda. The mass song describes about the courage built up among the workers while Rocky is standing with them. The song also narrates Rocky's valour.
At the beginning of the song, the voice of a courageous worker is heard warning another person not to mess with Rocky. A sequence of Rocky eating along with the workers being seated on the floor confirms that instead of ruling them, Rocky will be among one of them. Rocky builds his empire with the support of the workers as well as the kids. The workers look upon Rocky as their Messiah.
His signature action sequence of lifting the hammer also repeats multiple times in the video which confirms that he will continue his fight against injustice and take a stand for the needy while extending his kingdom.
While the south versions of the song are streaming on the official YouTube channel of Lahari Music and T Series, the Hindi version is available on MRT Music's official YouTube channel.
Earlier, the KGF Chapter 2 teaser had broken several records on YouTube. The same spree continues with the first song as within 24 hours it went on to garner over 10 million views. Altogether, the song in all 5 languages has garnered over 26 million views and over 2 million likes.
The current view status of Toofan's Hindi version is 6.4 million and is continuing while the likes count around 583K. On the other hand, the Kannada version of Toofan has till now garnered over 5 million views with around 525K likes.
Certainly, the craze for KGF Chapter 2 can be judged from the soaring success of the first lyrical video song.
Meanwhile, the official trailer of KGF Chapter 2 will release on March 27th at 6:40 pm. With only 5 days left for another bombshell from Prashanth Neel, Hombale Films, Yash and KGF team, fans across India, as well as overseas, are waiting with crossed fingers.
