KGF Chapter 2 starring Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead has by now broken several records. The Kannada-origin movie that released on April 14 today completes 50 days.
KGF's production banner Homable Films and team took to Twitter to express their happiness.
Hombale Films' Twitter post read: "Thank You for scripting monstrous milestone with us. A promise was once made and that promise was well kept. Thank you for making this possible with your unconditional love n unwavering support."
Further, the post read, "We can feel the jubilation and reverberation of the Monster celebration #KGF2."
The journey that began with over 6000 screens worldwide and later increased with the growing demand of fans, still is continuing with over 390 screens only in India and over 10 centres overseas.
With KGF 2, the Kannada film industry's Rocking Star has set new records in Indian cinema. After crossing the mammoth box office collection mark of Rs 1200 crore, the movie is now heading towards creating another mark. The total worldwide box office collection figures are yet to be obtained, while KGF 2 still continues with a decent collection even after 50 days.
The craze among fans and movie lovers for KGF, Rocky Bhai and Adheera made it possible for the flick to brave the stiff competition from Hollywood biggies as well as local films. This is a remarkable achievement of the entire team as most films run out of fuel in the opening weekend itself.
On the other hand, the blockbuster movie will make its streaming debut on Prime Video on June 3.
KGF Chapter 3 & expectations
Meanwhile, all are waiting for official updates of KGF Chapter 3. While the makers have hinted at the making of KGF 3, the team is yet to go for shooting. Prashanth Neel is busy with Salaar shootings with Prabhas and Shruti Haasan, while the makers are waiting for the director for dates.
Moreover, fans still have to wait for some days as social media is abuzz about Yash's upcoming Yash19 announcement, which will likely be made this month.
