Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar have worked in several successful movies and fans consider them an iconic onscreen pair. However, did you know Katrina wanted to make her co-star Akshay Kumar her rakhi brother?
Earlier during her appearance on Koffee With Karan in 2016, Kat revealed that she wanted to tie a rakhi to Akshay Kumar during the shoot of Tees Mar Khan.
Recalling the incident, the Dhoom 3 actress said that she was in a gold choli on the sets of Tees Maar Khan. But nobody paid any attention to her.
Kat said, "Who do I see walking in the door? A person I have great regard for, a person who I consider a dear friend, and according to me, I don’t see anything wrong with it. So I asked him, ‘Can I tie you a rakhi?’"
Further, revealing Akki's reaction, Kat said, "And Akshay Kumar says, ‘Katrina, do you want a slap?’”
Well, Akki's refusal left Kat 'disheartened' and 'dejected.'
The Tiger 3 actress also recollected the memories when she approached another actor at a friend's place. At her friend's place, Kat met Arjun Kapoor, who was 'sweet and cuddly' then as opposed to how fit he is today.
Kat approached Arjun to be her Rakhi Brother.
However, the Merry Christmas actress clarified that she never actually tied a rakhi to Arjun as he ran away. The next day again when Kat tried to chase him, he again ran away.
On the work front, Katrina was last seen in Merry Christmas opposite Vijay Sethupathi. The movie was praised by critics and the audience alike for its powerful script, performances and presentation. On the other hand, Akki was last seen in Stree 2 in a cameo role. He will be next seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again along with Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor. The recent announcement of Akshay Kumar's Bhooth Bangla has also filled excitement among all.
