How Karisma Got Her Pet Name Lolo?
Earlier this year, Karisma graced an episode of Indian Idol 15, as a guest. The special episode was a tribute to her late grandfather Raj Kapoor, on the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary. When Karisma was asked how she got her pet name 'Lolo', she made an interesting revelation.
Karisma said, "Foreign actress hai, Gina Lollobrigida, haan. Toh wahan se Lolo aa gaya. Aur meri mummy jo hai naa woh Sindhi hai, toh hum log ek roti hota hai, meethi loli, toh unko lolo bhi bulaate hai. Toh wahan se Lolo, aur yahan se toh papa ne rakh liya unki taraf se.”
How Kareena Got Her Name Bebo?
Further, revealing how her sister Kareena Kapoor got her pet name, Karisma said, "Toh jab Bebo aa gayi, toh sab soch rahe the abhi inka bhi kuchh funny sa, cute sa naam hona chahiye. Kyunki Dabbu, Chintu, Chimpu, Lolo, abhi inka bhi. Toh papa ne rakh liya Bebo.”
On the special episode, she also revealed her grandfather Raj Kapoor's pet name, which many are not aware of.
She revealed that Raj Kapoor was called Raje as he looked like a Rajkumar (Prince), fair-skinned with blue eyes.
Karisma's Personal Life
Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband Sunjay Kapur passed away on June 12, 2025, due to a heart attack. They were married from 2003 to 2016 and have two children Samaira (daughter) and Kiaan (son). As reported by News 18, Karisma's estimated net worth is around Rs 90 - 120 crore. Moreover, a report by DNA states that Sunjay Kapur had secured Rs 14 crore bond for Karisma and their children, with Rs 14 lakh interest from it reportedly covering their monthly expenses.
Apart from that, with brand endorsements and films, Karisma continues to remain financially stable. Despite having enjoyed immense stardom with a career spanning over three decades, Karisma chose to lead a relatively low-key lifestyle in Mumbai.
