Kajol's Short-term Memory Loss
It was a regular shooting day on the sets of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Kajol was filming the popular number 'Yeh Ladka Hai Deewana' from 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'. Everything was going smoothly until a sudden twist of fate turned the day into one of the most unforgettable moments in Bollywood behind-the-scenes history.
While riding her bicycle, Kajol lost balance and fell hard onto the ground. She briefly lost consciousness, and the crew rushed to her aid. She regained consciousness, but it was clear something was wrong; Kajol displayed signs of short-term memory loss.
She was disoriented and had no idea where she was or could recall details about the film or its production. Concerned, Shah Rukh Khan immediately stepped in. He helped her sit down, comforted her, and quickly arranged for medicines to ease her pain and dizziness.

As the team realised Kajol had temporarily lost her memory due to the fall, director Karan Johar, in a mix of worry and mischief, decided to lighten the tense atmosphere.
During her appearance on Farah Khan's vlog, Kajol recalled the incident and revealed that KJo didn't want her to regain her memory and tried hard to convince her that she was a background dancer.
Kajol said, "I think you were just trying to forget that Karan was there. I think Karan just wanted me to lose my memory so he could convince me that I was a background dancer!"
