The Roshans have contributed in a big way to the Bollywood film industry. While most of the Bollywood lovers of today’s generation know only the work of Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan, it was the father of Rakesh and Rajesh Roshan who first made it big in mainstream cinema as a famous music composer. To date, many songs by Roshan are remembered for their melody.
It won’t be exaggerative to state that Roshan was one of the very early and few music composers who made the right use of the melodious voice of Lata Mangeshkar and gave some soulful songs like “Rahena Rahe Hum” and “Jo wada kiya woh nibhana padega.”
And his legacy was continued by his younger son Rajesh Roshan while his elder son Rakesh Roshan after working as an actor for some time ultimately turned towards direction and producing movies.
He was the one who gave his son Hrithik Roshan the launching pad “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai” which made Duggu an overnight national sensation. Over the years, Hrithik has emerged as one of the most handsome, bankable, and talented Bollywood superstars.
Together the father and son duo have given some remarkable movies to Bollywood and more importantly the iconic superhero Krrish which has been loved by one and all.
Now both Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan are eager to bring back their golden legacy on the screen in the form of a documentary. It will depict the legacy starting from Roshan and will also include Rajesh Roshan’s contribution to Bollywood music.
Reportedly, the documentary will include the memorable contributions of the entire Roshan family to the Indian film industry starting from the arrival of Roshan Lal Nagrath in Mumbai in 1947 until to date.
It will be a star-studded feature similar to the lines of “The Romantics” released on Netflix. To make it very interesting, Rakesh Roshan has planned to include archival footage, some exclusive interviews with dozens of celebrities from Bollywood who have known the Roshans and worked with them all through these years.
