Actor Janhvi Kapoor, set to make her Telugu debut with ‘Devara’, is expanding her presence in the South Indian film industry. Following in the footsteps of her late mother Sridevi, Janhvi is on a signing spree for South Indian movies.
Reports suggest she will team up with Nani for his 33rd film, tentatively titled ‘Nani33’. This fresh pairing will be the first on-screen collaboration between Janhvi and Nani, creating much excitement.
According to Telugu 360, the makers of ‘Nani33’ are considering casting the ‘Good Luck Jerry’ star, though an official confirmation is still pending.
If gets confirmed, this will be Janhvi's third consecutive project in the South, following ‘Devara’ with Jr. NTR and a film with Ram Charan directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
‘Nani33’ will be directed by Srikanth Odela, marking his second collaboration with Nani after ‘Dasara’. Janhvi's debut in the Telugu film industry has generated great enthusiasm, and her involvement in ‘Nani33’ is expected to elevate the film's appeal further. This project will also mark the first collaboration between Srikanth, Nani, and Janhvi.
On the work front, Janhvi was last seen with Rajkummar Rao in ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ and is now gearing up for the release of ‘Ulajh’, where she plays a young IAS officer. The political drama is set to hit theaters on August 2, 2024.
Meanwhile, Nani was last seen in ‘Hi Nanna’ opposite Mrunal Thakur. Directed by debutant Shouryuv, the romance drama was well received by audience. Nani will next be seen in ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’, a vigilante action thriller directed by Vivek Athreya, featuring Priyanka Mohan, S. J. Suryah, Aditi Balan, and Sai Kumar in key roles.
