Known for critically acclaimed movies like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, 83, New York and Chandu Champion, the talented director Kabir Khan is all set to return to the commercial cinema with his next feature film with producer-filmmaker Karan Johar.
Yes, you read that right! As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, Kabir Khan is in talks with Karan Johar to direct a film that will be produced by Dharma Productions’. The film is expected to be an action-packed thriller, which presently is in the pre-production stage.
However, it is the names of superstar Salman Khan and the versatile Vicky Kaushal that is drawing attention towards the film. If reports are to be believed, Kabir Khan is planning to rope in Salman Khan or Vicky Kaushal as the main lead in the film.
“Kabir Khan is developing a commercial action film in association with Karan Johar’s Dharma Production. The casting of Kabir Khan’s next warrants the presence of a macho superstar and the director is looking at either Salman Khan or Vicky Kaushal,” sources told Bollywood Hungama.
However, there has been no official confirmation in this regard. Both Salman and Vicky have reportedly showed interest but are waiting to hear the final draft, sources told.
The film is expected to go on the floors at the end of 2025, and the makers are confident of getting either Salman or Vicky on board the action thriller.
