Bollywood Greek god and handsome hunk Hrithik Roshan’s cousin Pashmina Roshan is finally making her big Bollywood debut. The stunning diva is all set to rock the big screens with ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ that is scheduled to release on June 21.
Pashmina is making a lot of heads turn even before her debut. She is already a star on social media with over 202K followers on Instagram. However, the actress recently revealed how she had her fair share of struggle and how she battled depression.
“I was very confused and afraid if I could be a good actor. Though, I did theatres in school, but I wasn’t sure. I was very depressed. All my friends would go for parties and I used to just sleep in the afternoon,” Pashmina recalled.
Speaking to ANI, Pashmina said, “I always thought I wasn’t good enough. Nevertheless, I did a photo shoot and showed it to my father and uncle. They said yes, there is something in everyone but you have to polish it. Soon, I did back to back acting and dance classes. I started giving auditions.”
“After a lot of rejections, finally I have got this opportunity and this film. I’m very grateful,” Pashmina added.
With the pressure to carry forward Roshan family’s legacy, Pashmina who is the daughter of music composer Rajesh Roshan and niece of Rakesh Roshan, wants to carve out her own place in the industry.
She opened up about having dual feelings of both pride and pressure at the same time. Speaking about learning from her brother Hrithik, Pashmina said, “What he tries to tell me all the time is to bring authenticity to whatever work I do and give it my 100 percent.”
Ishq Vishk Rebound, the sequel to Bollywood’s chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao’s ‘Ishq Vishk’, revolves around the idea of love, friendship, heartbreak and rebound.
