Intimate photos of Telugu superstar Vijay Deverakonda and his rumoured ex-girlfriend, Virginie, have resurfaced online, causing a stir among fans. The actor, currently rumoured to be dating Rashmika Mandanna, was previously linked to Virginie, a Belgian national, during his early days in the Telugu film industry.
The resurfaced photos, shared by a Reddit user, show Vijay and Virginie smiling for the camera, with one picture capturing Virginie planting a kiss on Vijay's cheek. Fans noted that Virginie had met Vijay’s family, including his brother, Anand Deverakonda, as evidenced by several photos.

Reports suggest that Vijay and Virginie ended their relationship sometime before the release of his 2018 film "NOTA." During a promotional event for the film, Vijay confirmed his single status, asking fans to forget about his past relationships. MensXP reported that Vijay urged his fans to focus on his present, emphasising that he was now single.
Meanwhile, rumours about Vijay and Rashmika dating continue to circulate, though both actors have consistently denied these claims. Earlier this year, Vijay cheekily responded to a question about his relationship status, saying, “Yes, with my parents, with my brother, with you, and we all are in a relationship.”
On the other hand, Rashmika addressed the engagement rumours, and said, “I’m not getting engaged or married in February. It feels like the press just wants to get me married every two years. I hear this rumour every year. They’re just walking around waiting to catch me and get me married.”
In an old interview with GQ, Vijay reflected on his father's influence on his views about love and relationships. Growing up, Vijay’s father taught him that money is everything and that love is secondary.

Vijay said, “Growing up, my dad taught me that love is bullshit and that money is the centre of this world. If you have money, you have everything. If you have money, people will love you, respect you, and do everything for you. This was ingrained in me so deeply that when I grew into an adult, I didn’t believe in relationships. I began believing that whoever came to me, came with a want. When someone said they love me, I never said I love you too. Till today, it doesn’t come as naturally as it should.”
Vijay admitted that these beliefs affected his relationships, including the one with Virginie. “I lost friends. I lost relationships. There was a cost. I didn’t have the liberty to indulge in other things. I had to stay focused. When you come from nothing and want to become an actor, you have to surrender yourself completely. By the time she could make me see what we had, it was too late. I had affected the relationship too much. It took a toll on us.”
