The Indian Idol 12 controversy triggered by Amit Kumar’s statements continues to attract more responses. After Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Salim Merchant, Abhijeet Sawant, and Udit Narayan, now it is the turn of another Bollywood singer Javed Ali. The singer was the judge of this show last year for a short time.
However, he did agree that sob stories indirectly attract votes and they are used more in musical reality shows because people want such type of entertainment and masala and are intrigued about the lifestyle of these contestants. Talking about his experience on reality shows, he said that recently he himself spoke about the hurdles he faced in his life on the musical reality show where he was the captain of one of the teams.

The Mauja Hi Mauja singer went on to add that in one of the reality shows, which he judged sometime ago, the singer won the competition because he had the knack of appealing to the people with his talking. According to Javed Ali, in the end, it is the opinion of the people whether to vote or not and that no one is compelled to vote a particular contestant.
While that is certainly true, these things do influence the voting and mindset of the people, and many times good singers fail to win the show as the drama makes more impact than the singing of the singers. On Indian Idol 12, this weekend, legendary singer Asha Bhosale will appear as a guest and even sing her hit Rangeela number with Aditya Narayan.
