However, what left many puzzled was Vaani Kapoor replacing Ileana D'Cruz in the sequel. Well, recently, Ileana revealed that she turned down Raid 2's offer. She also reacted to Vaani Kapoor replacing her in the sequel. Well, her response to turning down the offer of Raid 2 and Vaani replacing her is winning hearts.

Ileana Rejected Raid 2?
Actress Ileana D'Cruz is back in the headlines after she recently shared a series of heartwarming pictures flaunting her baby bump as she embraces her second pregnancy. Fans expressed their delight and wished the soon-to-be mom by flooding the comments section with congratulatory messages. Recently the actress held an AMA session on Instagram and she was flooded with various queries.
A fan asked the actress, "Missed you in Raid 2 and missing you in Indian films. When are you making a comeback?"
To this, the Phata Poster Nikla Hero actress said, "I miss working in movies too, and I would have loved to be a part of Raid 2. Raid was a special film, and Malini was such a special character to play. Working with my director, Raj Kumar Gupta, was a wonderful experience, as was working with Ajay again. The makers of Raid 2 did offer the movie to me, but unfortunately, we couldn't work out the schedule, given that I had just had my baby and my priorities are very different at the moment."

Ileana on Vaani Replacing Her In Sequel
Ileana also praised Vaani, even though the latter replaced her.
The Rustom actress further wrote, "That said, I think Vaani looked lovely in all the promos I've seen and I'm sure she brought her own lovely charm to her character. Hope that clears any confusion."
