Ileana D'Cruz ran away from sets of her first film as she was made to do 'unexpected things'!

Ileana D'Cruz is one of the prominent actresses who has made a mark in both Bollywood and South Film industries. She has demonstrated her versatility through a diverse range of roles. However, before setting a benchmark in BTown with Barfi!, Ileana had a bumpy beginning. Ileana debuted at the age of 18 with Devadasu (2006). However, she ran away from the sets on her first day.

What Made Ileana Run Away From The Sets?

During an old interview with Hindustan Times, Ileana D'Cruz revealed that she felt overwhelmed, doubted and out of place. Thus, she ran away from the sets with tears in her eyes. However, a grounding call with her mother changed everything, which set her on the path to stardom.

Ileana Was Made to Do Unexpected Things!

During the interview, she recalled her emotionally tough start in the industry during the shooting of her debut film. She further confessed to finding herself overwhelmed by the unfamiliar world of filmmaking. She was surrounded by a language she didn't understand, asked to perform tasks she wasn't prepared for and thrown into an environment that felt completely alien.

What added to the pressure was some people on set doubted her potential and made it clear that they didn't believe she had a future in acting.

While the newbie was struggling with self doubt, negativity hit hard and made her deeply upset. All these made her ran away from the sets.

However, despite a rough beginning, Ileana pushed herself and emerged as one of the bankable stars.
