Ayushmann Khurrana is coming back with the sequel of his 2019 blockbuster comedy Dream Girl. While the first installment of the movie had Nushrratt Bharuccha opposite Ayushmann, in Dream Girl 2, she was replaced by Ananya Panday.
Recently Nushrratt Bharuccha shared that she enjoyed working on the first film and doesn't know why she wasn't chosen for the second one.
In a recent interview with E-times, the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actress opened up about how she was hurt for not getting the part in Dream Girl 2 but understands it's the filmmakers' decision.
"I am a human being, so of course it hurts. And of course, it feels unfair, “she was quoted as saying by E-Times.
She also praised the Dream Girl 2 trailer and hopes it does well. In Dream Girl 2, Ayushmann Khurrana plays Pooja again, but this time he transforms into a woman for more comedy. In the first film, he only talked to people with a girl's voice.
Meanwhile, Nushrratt's movie "Akelli" will release on the same day as Dream Girl 2, August 25 as there was a delay in approval from the Censor Board.
