On the occasion of his father Rakesh Roshan’s 76th birthday, actor Hrithik Roshan turned to nostalgia. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, he shared a string of unseen childhood photographs and penned a note filled with gratitude. Hrithik thanked the veteran filmmaker for instilling resilience in him and for “being the best teacher one could ask for.”
Unseen Glimpses of the Roshan Family
The heartfelt post included rare pictures from Hrithik’s younger days. In one, the actor is seen celebrating his birthday while Rakesh carefully places candles on the cake and claps beside him. Another photo shows Hrithik comfortably sitting on his father’s lap during a family gathering. A group portrait also featured Rakesh, Hrithik, Pinkie Roshan, and Sunaina Roshan together.
Memories From the Film Sets
The series also captured moments from Rakesh Roshan’s film sets, where a young Hrithik posed alongside his father. The images offered a peek into the early connection Hrithik shared with cinema through Rakesh’s work.
Duggu’s Heartfelt Words
Sharing the photos, Duggu wrote, “Happy birthday to you, papa. Thank you for building this resilience inside me. When life gets hard, it feels like home. Nothing can and nothing will shake the soldier in me. Over the years, I have learnt to see the opposite as well, and I know you have too.”
He continued by expressing appreciation for his father’s guidance, “The discovery of worthiness within, the simplicity of just being, the collapse of external validation. Today I walk in balance, as do you. Never complete, but no longer empty.” (sic)
A Son’s Gratitude and Pride
Reflecting on the journey of growth and strength, Hrithik added, “I would have never reached this place of equanimity, this place of wisdom, without first traversing the hard path. Thank you for building that soldier in me. For being the best teacher one could ask for. I stand proud (and strong), cause I am your son. I love you (red heart emoji).” (sic)
