Popular Hollywood and Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman has finally divorced her husband after 11 years of marriage. The actress who was married to director and choreographer Benjamin Millepied initiated the divorce proceedings eight months ago.
The divorce was recently finalized in France. They are parents to two children, 12-year-old son Aleph and 7-year-old daughter Amalia. While no exact reason for the divorce was known, sources said that Natalie decided to part way after reports of Benjamin’s extramarital affair in May 2023.
“It was initially really tough for her, but her friends rallied around her and helped get her through the worst of it. Natalie is coming out of a really tough and painful year but she’s come out the other side of it stronger and is finding joy in her family, friends and work,” a friend of Natalie told People.
Despite differences, the couple prioritized their children’s well-being and took care of them. Natalie Portman was spotted wearing her wedding ring since last spring. She has been balancing her work commitments and taking care of her children.
On the work front, Natalie Portman is currently busy with a string of projects, including her critically acclaimed performance in May-December and Fountain of Youth.
