The announcement of the reunion of Akshay Kumar , Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal for Heri Pheri 3 has filled high excitement among movie lovers who were eagerly waiting to see the actors reprising their iconic roles- Raju, Shyam and Baburao, respectively, in the bone-tickling comedy franchise.
After ending all speculations, the trio shot the promo for the third instalment, and pictures from the sets soon stormed the internet. While there are no further updates from the makers, fans got disappointed after reports surfaced that Farhad Samji has been roped in as the director.

Several movie lovers went on to request Akki to remove Farhad and bring in Priyadarshan or Anees Bazmee as the captain.
Though the team reunited for a special promo and Mahurat shoot, the movie will go on the floors in the second half of 2023 (June) only.
While fans are eagerly waiting to know more about the 3rd instalment, the latest reports confirm that the story will take off right from the point where Phir Hera Pheri ended. Even the makers have reportedly planned to shoot overseas and not just in India.
It is needless to mention, the 2nd instalment’s end scene showed Raju picking up the three antique guns tied in a cloth while Baburao and Shyam are calling him over the phone. ‘Whether Raju will first pick up the call or throw the set of guns’, it is the cliffhanger of the movie.
Ending Scene of Phir Hera Pheri PinkVilla quoted a source close to the development as saying, “Fans have been eager to know what happens to the guns and Hera Pheri 3 will open with the closing scene of Phir Hera Pheri. The story from there will take a leap and take the three characters on an international ride of guns and mafia.”
Further, the source also revealed that Sanjay Dutt will also be seen in a pivotal role in the movie as a gangster.
“Very few know that the plot of Hera Pheri 3 is actually written by the late writer, Neeraj Vora, a key contributor to the earlier two Hera Pheri films. His plot has been given the modern flavour for the current context,” the source was quoted as saying.
He further said, “Newer characters will be introduced in Hera Pheri 3, which includes Sanjay Dutt too as a gangster.”
Revealing more about Sanju Baba’s character, the source said, “Sanjay Dutt plays the role of Ravi Kishan’s distant brother. Ravi Kishan is one of the many characters fooled by Raju, Shyam and Baburao in Phir Hera Pheri. Sanjay comes into picture in the comic capacity to represent the whacky track around Ravi Kishan and Sharat Saxena.”
