The recent appearance of the iconic trio from the Hera Pheri franchise, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, at a private airport in Mumbai sparked excitement among all. While fans speculated that they will soon get to see Raju, Shyam and Baburao once again together, Anna (Suniel) faded the excitement issuing a clarification 'No Hera Pheri This Time'. However, Akki recently dropped a major update on the third instalment of the bone-tickling comedy franchise.
Recently, at the HT Summit, the Bhagam Bhag actor shared that the team is currently working on Welcome To The Jungle. Meanwhile, they are planning to start Hera Pheri 3 once the producer's current commitments are completed. Further, he mentioned that they are expecting to begin the film by next year.
Notably, after years of rumours and delays, the announcement of Hera Pheri 3 sparked excitement among all. Moreover, the original cast uniting for the third instalment fueled anticipation. Even the trio teamed up for the mahurat and shot the promo after which the pictures from the set took the internet by storm.

However, roadblocks hindered progress. Eros International threatened producer Firoz Nadiadwala over the film's rights, claiming that Nadiadwala owned the company for around Rs 60 crore. After Nadiadwala reclaimed the rights by paying the dues, the dispute was resolved.
Now that there are no hurdles, fans expect the makers to go on the floors soon. Fans can expect a rollercoaster ride filled with fun and humour as the first two films of the franchise. While the first part (Hera Pheri) was directed by Priyadarshan, the second part (Phir Hera Pheri) was helmed by Neeraj Vora. However, Farhad Samji being roped in for Hera Pheri 3 as the director disappointed fans.
Well, fans need to wait with their fingers crossed until the makers make the much-awaited announcement.
