Kal Ho Naa Ho

It was a beautiful movie that featured Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif as the lead with the main focus on SRK’s character and his love for Zinta. Saif was the third lead who is in love with Preity Zinta. Produced by Dharma Production, the movie was a big commercial hit and the chemistry between Preity and Saif Ali Khan was loved very much.

Yeh Dillagi

This YRF movie had Saif teaming up with Kajol and Akshay Kumar. While Akshay at that time was the emerging superstar, both Kajol, and Saif were yet to find recognition. Akshay and Saif’s onscreen chemistry and combination were a big hit and the song “Ole Ole” from Yeh Dillagi continues to be one of the biggest songs of Saif Ali Khan’s career to date.

Kachche Dhaage

This is undoubtedly an Ajay Devgn and Manisha Koirala movie. Their chemistry was too good. But Saif as the snobbish urban stepbrother of Ajay rocked the part and looked so real that fans made a bee-line to the theaters not only to see the beauty of Manisha or Ajay’s stunts but also the way Saif and Ajay blended into one unit in the climax. Music by Nusrat Faheh Ali Khan was also outstanding.

Dil Chahta Hai

That was a breakthrough movie by debutant director Farhan Akhtar. For the first time, three young Bollywood stars Akshaye Khanna, Aamir Khan, and Saif were paired together each character having their own impression and beliefs about life and romance. The movie was very well received and is one of the milestones of all three actors’ careers.

Mein Khiladi Tu Anari

While it is one of the biggest hits of Akshay Kumar’s career with the song “Churake Dil Mera” being an all-time chartbuster, Saif as a superhit film star struggling to do a real good role and getting manipulated by Akshay as inspector was more interesting to watch. Apart from good songs, Shilpa Shetty’s dance, the highlight was Akshay’s stunts and Saif Ali Khan’s naivety.
