Once again, rumours about Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja, parting ways have grabbed headlines. The star couple, however, has not released any official statement. While Govinda’s manager already labelled the news as baseless, their daughter Tina Ahuja has now broken her silence on the chatter surrounding her parents’ marriage.

Tina Ahuja Calls Reports...!

During a recent conversation with Hindustan Times, Tina made it clear that the speculation holds no truth.

The report quoted Tina as saying, “It’s all rumours."

When asked how she personally reacts when such stories surface online, Tina said, “I don’t pay attention to these rumours.”

'He Is Not Even in the Country'

Speaking about how her parents deal with the constant gossip, Tina said, “Kya bolun main? He is not even in the country.”

Further, Tina also expressed gratitude towards well-wishers.

“I feel blessed to have a beautiful family and I am really grateful for all the concern, love, and support we have been receiving from the media, fans, and loved ones,” she shared.

What the Reports Claim

Despite Tina’s denial, reports continue to circulate. As per documents quoted by Hauterrfly, Sunita Ahuja filed for divorce at the Bandra Family Court on December 5, 2024. The petition was reportedly filed under Section 13 (1) (i), (ia), (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, citing adultery, cruelty, and desertion as grounds.

The court had summoned Govinda, but according to reports, he failed to appear until a show-cause notice was issued in May 2025.

Counselling Sessions Underway

Reportedly, since June 2025, both Govinda and Sunita have been directed to attend court-mandated counselling sessions. While Sunita has been present for the hearings, there remains uncertainty over Govinda’s personal appearances at the court.
