Gehraiyaan Reviews On Social Media: From Calling It Copy Of Crime Patrol To Over-Hyped Movie

Gehraiyaan starring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, and Siddhant Chaturvedi released on Amazon Prime Video yesterday and now the reviews have started coming in.

The Shakun Batra-helmed flick had already created a lot of hype after the trailer was released showing some intimate scenes between Deeps and the Gully Boy actor. The movie is based on infidelity and is now receiving mixed reactions.

However, most of the social media users have slammed Gehraiyaan. While some called it a copy of Crime Patrol whereas a few believe that it is an over-hyped film. Of course, there are a few who have appreciated Deepika’s work and many have said that it is one of the best ever performances from Ananya Panday.

Critics have given good ratings and most probably Deeps also has an award waiting for Gehraiyaan. Even though the intimate scenes, adultery and kisses were the most talked about things in this Karan Johar-produced movie- the highlight many believe is the exceptional scenes between Deepika and Naseeruddin Shah who are sharing the screen space for the second time.

Once again the veteran actor has shown that he can always make a remarkable impact on the audience irrespective of the length of his role in any movie.

The promotions of Gehraiyaan also attracted a lot of attention as both Ananya Panday and Deepika Padukone mesmerised everyone with their fashion extravaganza and even triggered trends through their stunning fashion choices.

For Deepika Padukone, this movie, in particular, is a big one because she is the sole big celebrity in Gehraiyaan and that is why its success or failure automatically will be attributed to the stardom of the Bajirao Mastani star.

After the debacle of Chhapaak and 83, it has become important for Deepika to prove that she is the queen of Bollywood and can pull off a movie on her shoulders.
